Calvary Adelaide Hospital, Adelaide, South Australia

Founded in 1885 by the Sisters of the Little Company of Mary, Calvary is a charitable, not-for-profit, Catholic health care organisation. The Calvary Adelaide Hospital in Adelaide co-locates the services currently provided at Calvary Wakefield and Calvary Rehabilitation hospitals into South Australia’s largest ever private hospital.

The 12-storey world-class facility was built by John Holland Constructions with a project value of $345 million. mySmart was contracted by Downer Engineering to complete the project. It has a floor area of 57,000m² and houses Adelaide’s only 24-hour private emergency department, 16 operating theatres and 5 levels of patient wards.

The building utilises world-class technology throughout, including KNX for all lighting and emergency lighting control and monitoring.

KNX is approved as a Technical Specification by Standards Australia, providing peace of mind that KNX will be supported for years to come.
